Organization Purpose

WIN's purpose is to find potential leaders in all parts of the District, train them to become effective leaders, and involve them in grassroots efforts to challenge power for the betterment of their fellow citizens, especially those who are low-income and living in neglected areas of the city.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for all of the District's residents through grassrooots political action in the areas of affordable housing, neighborhood safety, public schools, youth, decent jobs (and a living wage), immigration, and a vote for DC residents in Congress.
